By Rev. Meredith Jackson, Program Director
Over the summer months, Isaiah 58 Ministries is pleased to partner with local churches in welcoming mission groups who are in the area for service projects. This year, we worked with AMEN House, a ministry of Oak Hill Presbyterian Church, and Urban Mission Inn, a ministry of Union Avenue Christian Church. Mission groups visited Isaiah 58 Ministries to learn about our work, engage in poverty education, help serve our guests, and engage in other mission projects throughout the ministry. We are grateful for the many ways that they have served this summer. Particular thanks goes to Donna Cook, coordinator of AMEN House, and Rev. Michael Riggs, coordinator of Urban Mission Inn groups.
2022 mission groups included:
Fox Valley Presbyterian Church – Geneva, Illinois
Ankeny Christian Church, Ankeny, Iowa
Westminster Presbyterian Church – Sioux Falls, South Dakota
First United Methodist Church – Wichita Falls, Texas
Harvard Avenue Christian Church, Tulsa, Oklahoma
Highland Oaks Church of Christ – Dallas, Texas
