Rev. Brenda Booth
Executive Director
Rev. Brenda Booth is an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Before moving to St. Louis, she served churches in Iowa and Oklahoma and also served as a campus minister at the University of Tulsa. She provides direction and leadership to the various programs and services of Isaiah 58 Ministries. Rev. Booth has been with the ministry since August, 2006 and enjoys working to develop programs that create lasting change in the lives of those she serves.

In 2006, Rev. Booth followed a new call to St. Louis, where she has served as the Executive Director of Isaiah 58 Ministries for 20 years. Under her leadership, the ministry has grown int a vital presence in the community – providing food, clothing, and essential resources, while also creating space for dignity, connection and belonging to thrive. She is deeply committed to helping the church live out its calling beyond its walls, building partnerships and programs the respond to real needs and create lasting, transformative change.
Rev. Booth is known for her ability to cast vision for the future, and invite others into that vision – encouraging both her team and the wider community to become the heart and hands of God in the world. Her work is grounded in the believe that when people come together with compassion and courage, live – and communities – can be transformed.
Outside of her ministry, Brenda find renewal in the beauty of creation. She enjoys hiking, tending the garden, and traveling to new places – always seeking moments of wonder, rest and inspiration along the way.
Rev. Meredith Jackson
Program Director
Rev. Meredith Jackson received a Master of Divinity degree from Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, CA. Ordained in the United Church of Christ, Meredith has served local churches and has served on various denominational committees and groups. She enjoys reading, growing food, and exploring the natural world around us. Rev. Jackson has been with the ministry since September 2017, and has primary oversight of our food ministries, clothing room, and volunteer program.
Zari Black
Ministry Associate
Zari holds a degree in Teacher’s Education from Ozark Technical College. They have volunteered with Black Girl Talks, a mentorship program through Missouri State University focused on teaching high school Black girls various life skills. They have done work building community within LGBTQ spaces by organizing events, and hosting fundraisers to benefit other organizations on MSU’s campus. Zari’s hobbies include sewing, performing arts, and crafting.
