Mission Groups Make a Difference This Summer

This summer, Isaiah 58 Ministries was blessed by the presence and partnership of several incredible mission groups and volunteers who offered their time, energy, and compassion to help us serve our community.
Through a collaboration with AMEN St. Louis at Oak Hill Presbyterian Church, we welcomed two dedicated mission groups who joined us for our Fresh Food Friday distributions. These groups not only helped with the hands-on work of sorting and sharing food, but also took time to learn about the broader mission and impact of Isaiah 58 Ministries:
· Westminster Presbyterian Church from Sioux Falls, South Dakota
· St. Paul United Church of Christ from Waterloo, Illinois

We were also grateful to once again partner with the St. Xavier College Church Social Justice Camp, whose students returned this summer to assist with various ministry projects and gain a deeper understanding of justice-rooted service.
In July, a group of employees from Edward Jones joined us for a day of service, assembling 250 backpacks for our annual Back-to-School Fair. Their hard work helped ensure that every student who attended the fair was equipped for a strong start to the school year.
We also welcomed a spirited and energetic group through Be the Neighbor, hosted at Union Avenue Christian Church. Their mission team brought both heart and muscle as they helped us reconfigure ministry space to better accommodate our growing programs.
Finally, we were thrilled to host the youth group from Parkway United Church of Christ (St. Louis, MO), who jumped right in to help us prepare for the Back-to-School Fair. From moving tables and chairs to organizing countless supplies, they made a meaningful impact with their joyful energy.
To each of these groups—thank you. Your presence was a gift, your service a blessing, and your partnership a reminder that together, we are building a more compassionate and connected community.
