We are seeking a few more dedicated volunteers to join our team. If you’re interested in being a part of this incredible ministry, please contact our Hunger Program Director, Meredith at meredith@i58ministries.org or 314-776-1410 to set up a time to meet with her.
The following areas are in need of additional help:
Intake Volunteer – 1st, 3rd, and 5th Wednesday of the month. Check in clients, identify needs, offer assistance, refer when necessary. Must be comfortable with computer tasks and able to navigate online maps.
Chesterfield Driver – 1st week of the month, Mon, Tues, or Wed, 11am. Pick up the truck at Isaiah, drive to two Chesterfield pickup locations, and return items to Isaiah 58 Ministries. This would be a great task for 2 people to do together. Must have a clean driving record and the ability to lift 30-50 lbs.
Schnucks Pick Up – Thursdays, weekly, between 8-9am. Go to Schnucks South City (3430 S. Grand Blvd) and pick up a donation of bakery and bread items. Transport items (using your personal vehicle) 1 mile to Isaiah 58 Ministries and help unload. This could be a task for 1-2 people.
Thursday Driver – Every other Thursday, 8am-11am. Pick up the truck at Isaiah 58 Ministries, drive to Operation Food Search near Page & 170, and collect food from the Operation Food Search warehouse. Then go to Schnucks in North City to collect donation of bread and bakery items. Return to the ministry and help unload. This pickup has staff assistance to help with loading and unloading, but the volunteer still needs to have a clean driving record and the ability to lift 20-30 lbs.
