with John Burroughs School

The annual visit from students at John Burroughs School is always a meaningful day at Isaiah 58 Ministries—one marked by generosity in action and the kind of abundance that makes our work possible. In mid-December, students, accompanied by adult sponsors, joined us at the pantry to serve alongside staff and volunteers, engaging thoughtfully with guests and experiencing firsthand the impact of shared commitment.

They also arrived with an extraordinary contribution: two truckloads of food—more than 10,000 pounds—collected, sorted, and boxed by the John Burroughs school community. Students helped unload and organize donations, sorted grocery store items, and assisted with our Fresh Food Friday distribution, ensuring that food moved efficiently from donation to table.

Partnerships like this are vital to sustaining our mission. Isaiah 58 Ministries is deeply grateful for our ongoing relationship with John Burroughs School—a partnership grounded in mutual respect and a shared belief in meeting immediate needs while building long-term food security. Because of supporters like these—and donors like you—we are able to continue providing nourishing food and dignified service to our neighbors, week after week.
