A recent guest shopped in our food pantry, and was excited to share with us these meals that he made. All of the food came from the pantry, except a touch of honey to season the fruit salad. We’re so glad to see the good and beautiful use of the food that we distribute!
Breakfast:
Pancakes with eggs and bacon. All ingredients came from the Isaiah 58 Ministries food pantry down to the eggs that are also inside the pancakes (sorry for the scorched pancakes).
Lunch:
This is a sourdough bread bowl with mushroom, onion and celery soup that all the ingredients came from the Isaiah 58 Ministries food pantry down to the julienne celery and carrots.
Dinner:
This is a pork roast that I made with a brown sugar dry rub with garlic and onion powder and Worcestershire sauce along with long green beans that were sauteed in sliced garlic cloves and olive oil. Not forgetting the sourdough bread that was sliced Texas toast style and buttered with unsalted organic black truffle finishing butter, all from the Isaiah 58 Ministries food pantry.
Last but not least of it all was a very light and delicious fruit salad…
Dessert:
This was a fruit salad made with all ingredients from the Isaiah 58 Ministries food pantry except for the honey. This fruit salad had apples, mandarin oranges, blood red oranges, dried cranberries, raisins and crushed walnuts. Tossed in a touch of brown sugar, cinnamon and honey.
We always love to hear from our guests about how they utilize the food pantry! Thank you for sharing!
