Every Friday as we greet our guests for the fresh food distribution, we offer coffee, tea and cocoa and treats. This hospitality is an effort to promote community and let the guests know that they are welcome at Isaiah 58 Ministries. Our services on Fridays operate a little differently than other days of the week and lend themselves to lingering and socializing. The food distribution takes longer and everyone gathers in fellowship hall after checking in. Many of the people are there every week and look forward to seeing each other. Peg Cooper, volunteer and board member, is at the hospitality table most Fridays with a smile on her face. Various volunteers offer to bake treats to serve and they are much appreciated. A hospitality table is another way that Isaiah 58 Ministries offers more than just bags of food for those that come to our door.
