Back to school may have looked different this year, but Isaiah 58 Ministries continued our long-standing tradition of distributing backpacks and school supplies to children in need. Congregations across the metro area collected school supplies for us and youth from Bonhomme Presbyterian Church came to the ministry and filled the backpacks.
Thanks to the generosity of our community we were able to fill 150 backpacks with all the school supplies needed to start a new school year, whether virtually or in person.
Children also received socks, underwear and a package of 5 masks to help keep them safe as they gather in their classrooms. In addition, children who live in our service area also received a gift card for new shoes. Funding for these gift cards was provided in part by a St. Louis Cardinals Care grant.
Thank you to our school supply donors!
