On June 15th Isaiah 58 Ministries hosted it’s 3rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration with great food, wonderful entertainment, and a variety of vendors sharing their wares with our guests.
This year we wanted to celebrate black-owned businesses and offer their products to those attending the event. Food included smoked chicken and pork sandwiches along with side dishes from Steve’s Hotdogs (baked beans, macaroni and cheese and potato salad), chicken and waffles by Elicious Southern Style Breakfast and Brunch and tasty desserts by Apple of My Eye Sweet Treats.
We welcomed Soap Therapy LLC, EyeSeeMe Bookstore, New Roots Urban Farm and Pinxit Photography who were available to our guests throughout the event as well as resource tables from local organizations and crafts for the whole family.
Of course we can’t forget the 17 foot inflatable slide for the kids (and young at heart) as well as the great music by DJ Key and incredible dancing by Afriky Lolo.
It was a great day bustling with activity, laughter and fellowship.
A special thank you to everyone who helped make the event possible, from the planning committee to the many businesses and organizations who participated.
