Dear Friends:
We are carefully watching the unfolding COVID-19/Coronavirus situation.
We are aware of the information from agencies and accompanying recommendations. Please continue to read for more information about how we are responding.
We know that we offer an important resource for our community. In the event of further spread of the virus, it is likely that the need for our services will increase. It is our goal to provide as robust a service as possible, while keeping everyone as safe as possible.
For the health and safety of all in our community, please do not come to the ministry if you or someone in your household has been diagnosed with the flu or is exhibiting flu-like symptoms including acute respiratory illness. Please seek medical advice.
If you have engaged in activities at our ministry, please also let us know if you are tested for COVID-19, even if you do not have a confirmed diagnosis. This is for the safety of all in our community.
We would also like to share how we are addressing concerns over COVID-19:
-Increased sanitation practices.
-Increased food handling precautions.
-Required handwashing upon entering building.
-Limiting the number of people in the building at any given time.
-Encouraging people who are ill, medically vulnerable, and those who have traveled to infected areas stay home.
-Identifying an Emergency Response Team to meet and coordinate response plans.
-Identifying additional community partners.
We also have plans in place for further response, including adjusting our methods of food distribution to keep all people safe. During this time, we are asking that all volunteers be as flexible as possible as changes occur.
Thank you for your continued support during this time. We are grateful for every community partner who helps make this work possible.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
