After almost 3 years of focusing primarily on essential services, Isaiah 58 Ministries hosted a Health and Wellness Fair for guests and community members. On October 25, 2023, eight area agencies gathered in our fellowship hall providing an abundance of information and resources. Throughout the day speakers addressed a variety of health topics and visiting with participants regarding their services.
Each guest received a gift bag of self-care items from Isaiah 58 Ministries and was invited to visit the various booths and learn about the resources offered in our community.
A light lunch of sandwiches and salad was also provided for participants.
Incredible smells filled the hall as Operation Food Search provided a wonderful cooking demonstration.
After demonstrating the steps to making Chicken Curry Stew, participants enjoyed delicious samples of the stew and received the recipe to try at home. Everyone was excited to try out a new and exciting dish for their family.
We want to send out a huge thank you to all our speakers who provided interesting information and presentations on how to care for ourselves through all stages of our lives. From stretching and low impact exercises provided by Sports Medicine and Training Center to healthy cooking demonstrations by Operation Food Search, and breast cancer detection and care through SLU Hospital Breast Center, our guests received an abundance of valuable information. We are truly blessed to partner with such incredible agencies!

This is just the beginning of more programming to come. As we enter 2024, we anticipate providing monthly Lunch and Learn events, as well as other programming to care for our guests’ physical, mental and spiritual health needs.
