The Work Has Begun!

From This…

For more than 50 years, Isaiah 58 Ministries has answered the call to serve our neighbors with dignity, compassion, and hope. That call has never simply been about programs or services. It has always been about people. It has always been about community.

Today, we stand at the threshold of a new chapter — one that is not only about renovating a building, but about creating a place where compassion, hospitality, and human connection can continue to grow for generations to come.

To This…

Brick by brick, neighbor by neighbor, we are building beloved community.

Our new facility will certainly provide much-needed space. It will allow us to expand our food pantry, strengthen our clothing and hygiene ministries, increase opportunities for health and wellness programming, and create welcoming gathering spaces for education, fellowship, and care. But the true foundation of this project is not concrete or steel.

The true foundation is people.

Our foundation is built through the faithful generosity of congregations who have walked beside us for decades, believing that caring for neighbors is sacred work. Our strength comes from the volunteers who sort food, welcome guests, stock shelves, carry boxes, and offer kindness in countless unseen ways – from donors who understand that every contribution becomes an investment in dignity, stability, and hope. Community partners ground us by recognizing that transformation happens when organizations work together rather than alone.

Each act of support becomes part of something larger.

Every dollar given helps create spaces where families can access healthy food with dignity and choice. Every partnership strengthens our ability to provide compassionate care for individuals facing hardship, isolation, or uncertainty. Every volunteer hour helps build relationships that remind our neighbors they are seen, valued, and loved.

This next phase of our capital campaign is about more than increasing capacity. It is about deepening connection.

We envision a true community hub — a place where neighbors can gather around tables instead of standing in lines; where individuals experiencing homelessness can find not only resources, but hospitality and humanity; where learning, wellness, advocacy, and care exist side by side; where congregations and community organizations come together to address the needs of our city collaboratively and compassionately.

Beloved community is not built all at once.

It is built slowly and intentionally. Through trust. Through shared purpose. Through relationships. Through countless ordinary acts of compassion that become extraordinary when woven together.

And so we continue this journey together.

Brick by brick, neighbor by neighbor, we are building more than a building. We are building a future rooted in dignity, justice, hospitality, and hope.

Together, we are building beloved community.

And together, we are still answering the call.

Help us make this vision a reality by “Answering the Call” and supporting our work through a financial donation.
