On Tuesday, February 13th over 100 guests and volunteers gathered for Isaiah 58 Ministries Annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper. The feast of pancakes with all the toppings, egg casseroles, bacon and sausage promised that no one left hungry. Volunteers decked the walls with Mardi Gras decor and guests dressed in multicolored beads and festive masks. Some even took up the challenge of creating their own crown in our craft corner.
In addition to a delicious meal, each guest also received a Lenten “Hunger for More” calendar reminding everyone to spend time in reflection, refresh their spirits and share their talents during the 40 days leading up to Easter. You can find our Lenten Calendar here. We also encourage you to give to our Annual Hunger for More campaign. Your generous support helps ensure our community receives the food they need to keep their families happy and healthy.
Special thanks to our many volunteers who helped decorate and set up before the event and to all those who mixed and flipped pancakes, and helped serve our many guests. Finally, a big shout out also to St Margaret of Scotland’s Young Adult group who helped throughout the evening. We are blessed to have all of you as part of our ministry team!
