April showers bring… the annual hygiene drive with the Girl Scouts!
Did you know… we offer hygiene options in our food pantry year round?
Did you know… if each household chooses one item per visit, that’s over 4,800 hygiene items that go into the hands of our guests?
Did you know… personal hygiene items cannot be purchased with food stamps?
The April Showers hygiene drive is incredibly important to our ministry to help stock our shelves with hygiene items. In 2024 we are already needing more than 400 rolls of toilet paper each month, and sometimes our shelves are bare. That’s where April Showers comes in! This year, we participated in a store collection at two Schnucks Markets, in cooperation with Operation Food Search and the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri. We were also a drop off site for the Girl Scout’s neighborhood collection. We collected over 1,000 lbs of hygiene items, which will stock our shelves in months to come.
Are you interested in helping contribute hygiene items for our food pantry? Right now our top priorities are:
- Laundry Detergent, 50oz or smaller
- Toilet Paper
- Deodorant
